We now have a small kennel of blacks and yellows, all dogs being jointly owned by sisters Julie Bruce and Anne Johnson. Although the dogs each have their own home base either in Preston, Lancashire, or Darley, North Yorkshire, they all get on well and settle happily with each other when visiting their second home, just as one should expect from a true Labrador temperament.
All breeding stock is appropriately health screened. Puppies are occasionally available, carefully bred in the home environment for good temperament and looks. Their achievements over the years also suggest intelligence too, some having trained as Guide Dogs, some as working dogs, picking up game in the way they were originally bred, and others gaining KC Good Citizen Awards up to the Gold level. All puppies are wormed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and insured before going to their new homes, and leave Teazledown with a comprehensive pack of information, food and bedding.
We both serve on Breed Club committees and are on the ‘B’ Judging List for Labradors. We also have Accredited Breeder status. |
